Sugar and salt

After talking to few clients about this, we'd like to elaborate on sugar and salt and where you need to be more diligent when it comes to what you eat.
Despite what you may have read over the years, salt is not the health detriment it's been made out to be. Unless you are predisposed to hypertension, high blood pressure, etc., salt in yoiur diet is not a big deal. Now that's assuming you're eating well (naturally occuring foods), and not a lot of fast food or food-in-a-box.
Here's the real enemy: sugar. It's easy for people to get hooked on it, and the food industry knows this. Sugar (as corn syrup) is cheap and food manufacturers put it in everything. It's one of the main things that gets people hooked on fast and snack foods.
Always read labels! Clients have asked about Greek yogurt as a protein source. Fine, but be forewarned. It's typically full of sugar. Eat the plain stuff and doctor it up with berries.
Keep in mind, the more you eradicate sugar from your diet, the less you'll crave it.
